Cormac McCarthy piece

this story was very descriptive i could picture every scene which was not always a good thing. this story was very violent and McCarthy went into detail about everything. i liked that he did this but sometimes it was a little to much. you get consumed with the images and loss track of the story. i did not fully understand the story but i will remember it because of all the violence.

Frayling chases spaghetti westerns

I completely agree with Sergio, when i think of westerns i think of action there should not be allot of talking. i also think that all the men should have a dirty look to them. This is what they really looked like they had bad teeth ,long hair and looked like they needed to shave. this is what i think of when i think of real cowboys. Hollywood's cowboys are all pretty boys.

but i don't agree with some of the scenes in his movies. I think that he takes some things to far. In one of his movies he shows a child being killed in a very violet way. I think stuff like this should just be left to the imagination.

i also like the music i think that it is cool that they made the music from different sounds. there is no singing it just sounds.

i really enjoyed listening to this interview. there is so many things to think about when you are making a movie. Sergio did allot of studying to make his movies feel like the real thing. i think this is why so many people like his movies.

the good, the bad, the ugly

i am so exited about this movie!!! i can't wait to see where the story goes we have just gotten to meat all the characters so it will be very inserting to see how they connect. it is really cool to see how this movie was filmed there are a lot of close ups not what you would expect. the way some of the movie was filmed is not what you expect. but i think that this is what makes the movie inserting. we also get to see how they worked around the rule that they cant show the gun and the person being shot in the same frame.

my 5 quotations

"Virgie standing in the aperture with a cocked revolver in her hand”

“I want to know where Deadwood Dick is that's what I want. I allow ye'll say he ain't here, but I won't swallow that. He told me held be here, over a week ago, an' he allus keeps his dates."

“I don't believe a word that you say," she said, in reply to Piute's brag. "But if I learn that what you have said is true look out for yourself, for, girl though I am, I'll make you pay a bitter penalty for your deed”

"Oh! sir, you must excuse me," Virgie cried in distress, "I cannot sing, to-night -- really I cannot."

"Go ahead, and collect a dozen bowie knives, and also mark a dollar-sized circle on yonder door, belt high. Then pace off twenty steps, and lead off," the stranger commanded"

john wayne playboy interview

So I do not know who john Wayne is, I never have seem any of his movies until we started to watch the searchers in class. I love the searchers I can’t wait to finish it john Wayne is the typical bad ass cowboy. After reading this interview it seems to me that he plays the same type of character in all of his movies. He has made a ton of movies he says he can not even remember the names of some of them. I cant believe I have never seem one of his movies especial since my dad watches a lot of westerns.
In the interview john talks about the rating system for movies, I completely agree with what he said. We need to be stricter on the rating system. They are letting so many things slip into movies things that should not slip by. When I take the kids I am babysitting to a movie 9i want to be sure that the movie is rated g I do not want any surprises.
This interview really let you see how john Wayne feels about the movie industry and many other things. It let me get to know who he is and what kind of movies and stuff he did. I really enjoyed reading about john Wayne. Interviews really let you get to know who someone is.

"how to play indian"

This article is a list of rules that the Indians would fallow when attacking the white man. After reading them I started to think about the Indian movies I have seen and I remember the Indians doing some of these things when attacking. Such as showing a smoke signal before attacking also they only attack in the day. I do not understand why they do these things but I guess it is a sort of honor code. Also after I read all of the rules I wondered do they have to fallow every single one or is there like a couple main ones? And do the cowboys have rules for attacking? I think cowboys just attack when needed, they never really seem to have a plan entill 5 minutes before the attack. Indians attack methods are so thought out.

the searchers

so we started to watch The Searchers in English to day and i can not wait to see what happens. you can tell that this movie was made from a white mans perspective. they make the Indians out to be the bad guys which i think the wight men and the Indians where both at one point the bad guys. the movie makes it seem like the Indians are attacking for no reason. i am really looking forward to see what happens the movie is suspenseful and very funny.

john Wayne

to be honest i have no idea who this is!!!!! i have heard the name but never gave it much thought. but i guess he plays a cowboy in his movies.
